Beichen’s Defense and Commencement

On 11/25/2025, Beichen earned his doctorate following the successful defense of his doctoral dissertation, entitled “Discovering New Drugs for Retinitis Pigmentosa by Machine Learning Analysis of Zebrafish Visual Behavior.”  Beichen’s commencement ceremony took place on 21 December 2025. We wish him every success in his career and a bright future ahead.

Beichen Wang presented at the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO)

Beichen Wang attended the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) in New Orleans, LA from 2023-04-23 to 27. He gave an oral presentation on “A zebrafish functional screen identifies leads from FDA-approved drugs for treating retinitis pigmentosa”.

On 11/12/2018, Emre Coskun attended the Purdue Fall Undergraduate Research Exposition and presented a poster of his undergraduate reserarch work on “A Pharmacological Model of TRPA1-Mediated Nociception in the Zebrafish for Therapeutic Discovery”.
