Introduction to the topic<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>&#8220;A Stem Cell Story&#8221; &#8211; a great introduction of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Embryonic_stem_cell\">human embryonic stem cells<\/a> (hESCs) and their research by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurostemcell.org\/\">EuroStemCell<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2-3J6JGN-_Y\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><\/iframe><\/center><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pbs.org\/wgbh\/nova\/body\/stem-cells-breakthrough.html\">Stem Cells Breakthrough<\/a>&#8221; &#8211; a great introduction about a potential alternative technology, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Induced_pluripotent_stem_cell\">induced pluripotent stem cells<\/a> (iPSCs), that does not require destroying human embryos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>References<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Here are two recent scientific references that give the current status of iPSCs research and compared that with hESCs, as well as the challenges ahead in research and ethical issues.<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Robinton DA, Daley GQ.
